Of course, as the chief grave-digger, I reserve the right to decide whether to perform the public funeral rites. So send the hearse over – hopefully with a pithy phrase on why you think your contribution should stay dead and buried.
Here’s one from an ex-colleague who is tired of seeing “tuck into” as a substitute for eat. You know, tuck into a bowl of bak chor mee etc? He thinks it’s tucking silly. I agree.
